Ingredients

    Instructions

    Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

    1. Banana:

      • Peel 1 banana and break it into 2-3 smaller chunks. This helps it blend easier.
    2. Mixed Berries:

      • Measure out 100g of mixed berries (fresh or frozen). If using frozen, no need to thaw!
    3. Porridge Oats:

      • Get 2 tablespoons of porridge oats ready. This adds thickness and fiber.
    4. Milk:

      • Pour 350ml of soya milk (or your preferred milk) into a measuring cup.
    5. Protein Powder (Optional):

      • If you want extra protein, have 1 tablespoon of pea protein powder ready.
    6. Honey (Optional):

      • If you like your smoothie sweet, measure out 1 teaspoon of honey.
    7. Ice Cubes:

      • Grab about 3-4 ice cubes for a cool, refreshing touch.

    Step 2: Blend the Smoothie

    1. Add Ingredients to Blender:

      • Start with the banana: Place the banana chunks in the blender first.
      • Add berries: Pour in the mixed berries.
      • Include oats: Add the porridge oats next.
      • Pour in the milk: Add the soya milk.
      • Add protein powder: If using, add the protein powder.
      • Sweeten (if desired): Drizzle in the honey.
      • Ice cubes: Toss in the ice cubes.
    2. Secure the Lid:

      • Make sure the blender lid is on tight to prevent spills.
    3. Blend:

      • Start blending on a low speed for a few seconds to mix.
      • Switch to high speed and blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth.
      • If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk and blend again.

    Step 3: Serve the Smoothie

    1. Taste Test:

      • After blending, taste your smoothie. If it needs more sweetness, add a little more honey and blend again briefly.
    2. Pour into Glasses:

      • Carefully pour the smoothie into two glasses. Use a spoon if needed to help guide it.
    3. Optional Garnish:

      • You can add some whole berries or a sprinkle of oats on top for a nice touch.

    Step 4: Store Leftovers

    1. Refrigeration:

      • If you have any leftover smoothie, cover it and store it in the fridge. It will stay good for up to 24 hours.
    2. Shake or Stir Before Drinking:

      • If the smoothie separates in the fridge, just shake the container or stir it well before enjoying.

Enjoy your easy and delicious berry protein smoothie!
