Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Before cooking, slice the chicken and vegetables to ensure everything cooks evenly and quickly.
Cook the Chicken:
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken strips in a single layer. Allow them to cook without stirring for about 3-4 minutes to get a nice sear.
- Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Combine and Serve:
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
- Add soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), stirring to coat the chicken and vegetables evenly.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
