    Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

    Place the drained tomatoes in a bowl and squish them with your hands until they’re mashed.

    Add the 1/2 tsp golden caster sugar, 1 tsp oregano, a handful of fresh basil, and 1 crushed clove of garlic to the mashed tomatoes. Stir to combine and set aside while you prepare the dough.

    Step 4: Activate the Yeast

    In a separate bowl, combine 1 tsp dried active yeast, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp golden caster sugar, and 2 tbsp groundnut oil. Add 150ml warm water, mix, and let it sit for 5 minutes in a warm place.
